That will definitely bring our community closer together. Gentrification makes total sense of course. Honestly I don’t feel like any reverse racism these “white hipsters” encounter plays as much of a role in their lives as the racism that people of color in Pilsen or any other “neighborhood of color” experience. Just saying. This is probably one of the craziest things I’ve seen all day. I can understand the feeling of living in a neighborhood for a considerable amount of time and watching it become gentrified and the pain and emotions that it would stir up, but who is anyone to tell another human being to stay out of an area. It brings up a lot of mixed emotions in me without even discussing the whole “Hipster” issue.
